As a French perinatal DO, when I moved to the US in 2016, I was baffled by the lack of support to postpartum moms, and especially concerning their abdominal, pelvic floor and overall physical recovery. For the weeks, months, and years after giving birth.

So many of my new mom friends didn’t have any single clue of what to do to finally stop peeing their pants, healing their abs separation (aka diastasis recti), feeling stronger, and finally being in control of their body again.

This is why I developed a very specific methodology, backed up by science, coming from the past 11+ years working internationally as a perinatal osteopath DO, health and nutrition coach, and perinatal personal trainer. I learned from the best exercise specialists, PTs, MDs and DOs.

Step 1: Initial in-depth questionnaire

This questionnaire helps me understand your health history, your pregnancy, your delivery circumstances, and your lifestyle. This is a mandatory step for me to get to know you better and understand what needs to be addressed to get you to your health goals.

Step 2: Assessment and Discovery call

In this first call together, we will review your questionnaire in detail, assess where you are and what your body needs (I will drive you through some simple assessment drills), see how your personalized plan will be articulated to support your recovery, and decide on a recovery schedule fitting your lifestyle.

Step 3: 12 1:1 Coaching Sessions

It’s time to get to work! You will receive your personalized program every 2 weeks. I will guide you in-person through each session. Your program will evolve as you see and experience results.

Step 4: At home Self-Guided Plan

Aka “homework”! During your recovery program, it’s extremely important to be consistent and keep working on the exercises we work on together. You will receive a pdf guide with pictures + videos to guide you through these offline exercises.

Step 5: High-level Nutrition Plan

Depending on your eating preferences, you will receive a customized nutrition coaching guide, to help you with food portioning, food choices, examples of menu, and resources on how to know if you’re suffering from postnatal depletion that could be in the way of reaching your postnatal health goals (even months and years after).

From there, I will design a personalized exercise program centered around what your body needs, your goals and suited to your fitness level.

Yes! I develop highly specific early postpartum plans respecting all postpartum challenges and safe to be done before your 6 weeks check up.

We are all about helping you recover from birth and prepare your abdominal and pelvic floor recovery for the first part of the program.

This program can be started around week 4 postpartum.

Yes! Especially if you still feel that your abdominal muscles are weak and/or you experience pain during sex, hip pain, urinary leaks and incontinence or even just that “everything isn’t right down there”.

Yes, yes and yes! We focus on core-pelvic floor re-connection in that program.

This is a staple and mandatory step to heal your diastasis recti.

The exercises I use in your program will be diastasis recti safe and designed to close the gap.

I will still advise you to seek the help of a physical therapist if needed. Our program is actually recommended by PTs and completely complement their work.

Posture-based exercises: we place a great emphasis on correcting your posture during and after your pregnancy. This is a mandatory step to address any weaknesses, imbalances  or past injuries you might be suffering from.

Mobility exercises: exercises that are designed to help you restore your body’s mobility, avoid injuries, and improve your flexibility.

Core and pelvic floor connection: the staple of our approach. With our re-patterning breathing exercises, you will develop stronger abs and learn to control your pelvic floor muscles. It’s a non-negotiable for birth prep and postpartum recovery.

Strengthening exercises: perfect to help you develop the strength needed to feel better in your own body and in your daily life.

Cardio exercises: endurance is such an important aspect of birth prep but also of postpartum recovery. We use a very specific strategy to prepare you for the demands of labor and help you increase your fitness level as an extremely busy new mom who needs tons of energy!

Mindful movement: each and every of our exercises are designed with mindful movement in head. We use only exercises that are designed to function and feel better. Moreover, with her extensive experience as a DO, Leslie has a one-of-a-kind eye to see what is holding you and come up with strategies to help you move and feel better.
